Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and we know the dads in the Brooklyn Bedding office are still looking for the perfect present for their wives. We thought we’d do a little research to help them out. We asked ourselves: what do moms really want for Mother’s Day this year?
Leave brunch for Father’s Day.
Don’t make the mom in your life get out of bed for brunch. Moms don’t want to think about what to wear, get ready, get their kids ready, and make sure their kids behave while out in public. If you have young kids, going to a busy restaurant is a little bit like a high-stakes game of whack-a-mole. What piece of silverware will clank on the ground? Or worse, whose meal will end up all over themselves? Instead, try planning something around the house that puts relaxation at a premium. Which brings us to our next tip…
Give mom some well-deserved alone time.
We promise mom wants to see the cute cards you made her. We’re sure she can’t wait for another coupon book. But please, leave mom alone for a little while on Sunday. Let her sleep. Let her catch up on all her shows that are on channels other than Disney. Let her relax by the pool. Dads, this is the perfect opportunity to take the kids to the park. Get them outside to run off their energy. Maybe leave the cards and coffee for mom to enjoy in peace and quiet.
Give mom the gift of total relaxation (and crisp new bedding to match).
Other than the ingredients for the perfect mimosa and some alone time, give mom the gift of relaxation. We’re thinking a gift card to her favorite massage place or a mani-pedi. Bonus points if you can snag a babysitter, too!
If the special mom in your life already schedules this time for herself, try helping her relax even more with brand new, crisp and comfortable luxury sheets. For all the dads out there, they help you sleep cooler too! Even though we don’t think one day is enough to celebrate all the moms in our lives, we hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day.
